On the 2nd day of Test Cricket,
I took the time to interview Mr. Charles Edwards, Producer of the V.I.P. Pavilion. He gave me a general rundown and some valuable insights into the Exclusive and all inclusive venue otherwise known as The V.I.P. Pavilion that can be found here on the Beautiful Island of Barbados at the Kensington Oval.
'Athwin Associates' is the overall company name, however Charles is the Event Producer/ Marketing Consultant proudly boasting the slogan;
"From Concept to Delivery"
It can be easily seen that Charles is a fun-loving guy and was able to always put a warm smile on guest's faces, as well as mine! he embodies and epitomizes the rue essence and personality that any Marketing Consultant or Event Producer should expire to exude.
His specific strategies are based on optimizing and maximizing the services offered and the efficiency with which they are executed. At this particular venue, they focused on the all-inclusive aspects with precise and key focus and detail. This was with regards to the the overall atmosphere not to mention the tasty morsels and premium beverages offered, not to mention the charming and high-spirited wait staff who worked diligently to meet the guests' every need.
The General interior design of the pavilion personified relaxation and finesse to the highest degree. It was definitely a sight to be seen at the heated Kensington Oval. The White backdrop was sprawlingly adorned with white chairs and upholstery, white tablecloths and there was even a lounge area (in the colour of white...of course!) set up before one of the two large flatscreen TV's that served as place for guests to congregate excitedly whilst scrutinizing the umpires decisions whenever an appeal was made in the game, or to watch the close up re-runs of momentous plays in the lively game of England VS West Indies 2015.
They served a full breakfast complete with coffee and tea as well as treats ranging from deliciously tasty croissants to to spicy mini chicken breakfast tacos and even to an extensive array of fresh, sliced fruit.
The staff could always be seen bustling around jovially whether they were polishing glassware or taking a guest's order. No wonder Charles is considered a Marketing Guru!
So further along in our conversation , yes Charles acknowledged the various stands and boxes the encompassed the cricket grounds, however his idea, with regards to the Pavilion, was to transport the guests back to his own experiences as a lad, under a big spacious pavilion at the Lodge School, watching cricket play out back in the days.
I was also informed that Athwin Associates is constantly developing their products. From the upcoming CPL to another Kensington cricketing experience on the horizon. Also they had covered the 'Gold Cup' in March and have also extended their services to Rally as well as other various projects. Naturally, they target long-lasting sporting events. None-the-less, they don't stop there, they also customize small-scale events.
Athwin Associates truly caters to every need.
"Cricket as a spectator sport. Test Match is without parallels, " stated Charles Edwards.
Therefore the experience of cricket here in Barbados matched with the Exclusive experience of the V.I.P. Pavilion, makes for an overall enthralling package.
Charles reiterated that he always strives to exceed expectations. Not to mention, he is always looking for the three W's when it comes to his projects. WOW WOW WOW! (Not necessarily the 3 W's of the 3W Stand at Kensington Oval)
Well in my experience at the Pavilion! along with the cricket, it truly made the highlights of my day!
